CR or FG:  Criminal and Fish & Game

Criminal Warrant defendants must surrender on the 7th floor in court room 7-2 located in the Sedgwick County Courthouse, 525 N. Main, Wichita, Kansas. The hours of surrender will be from 10:00 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. Monday through Friday.


  1. Defendants surrendering must come to the 7th floor of the Sedgwick County Courthouse, court room 7-2.
  2. Do not bring any property except picture ID.
    1. No cell phones
    2. No food or drink
    3. No children
  3. Sign in with the Sheriff’s Deputy.

Each Warrant will be treated on its own merit according to the charge(s).

TR:  Traffic

In an effort to assist persons with pending traffic cases and/or traffic warrants, the District Attorney's Office holds walk-in hours Monday - Friday from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. and Monday - Wednesday from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.  Defendants should report to the District Attorney's traffic office on the 5th floor of the Sedgwick County Courthouse and sign in, in order to meet with an Assistant District Attorney. Defendants should bring relevant documentation (e.g. proof of insurance, proof of vehicle registration, drivers' license, etc.) to assist in resolving their cases.

CV and LM:  Civil & Limited

Civil Warrant defendants for Order-in-Aid must surrender at the Sedgwick County Courthouse, 525 N. Main, Wichita, Kansas, 1st floor at the Jury Room. They must appear at 1:00 pm on a Friday.


  1. Defendants surrendering must come to the 1st floor Jury Room of the Sedgwick County Courthouse.
  2. Sign in with the clerk.
  3. If the plaintiff’s attorney is present the matter may be resolved.
  4. If the plaintiff’s attorney is not present, the warrant will be withdrawn and an appearance date made for the following Friday at 1:00 pm.

Failure to appear will require the warrant be reinstated for the arrest of the defendant.

DM or RC:  Domestic and Reciprocal


Individuals with outstanding warrants with the Domestic Court should contact the Court Trustees office at 316-660-5833 or come into their office in the Sedgwick County Courthouse, 525 N. Main, Wichita, Kansas, 7th floor between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The case will then be reviewed and an amount required to withdraw the warrant will be given. A copy will then be provided containing a court date for the person to appear regarding the case. Their presence at that court date will be required or another warrant will be issued for their arrest.

SC:  Small Claims

The Small Claims Court is located in the Historic Sedgwick County Courthouse, 510 N. Main, Wichita, Kansas on the 3rd floor room 303.


You must call 316-660-5790 to request a court date to be set for your appearance. Once you appear the warrant will be set aside.


Appear on a Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. for the normal docket. Advise the judge you have a warrant and want to take care of the matter. You will be given a court date in which to appear for a hearing. If you do not appear, another warrant will be issued and you will not be able to follow the procedure a second time.

CC:  County Court

The Historic Sedgwick County Courthouse, 510 N. Main, Wichita, KS, 1st floor, room 103.  Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12 Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. except on Mondays from 1:30 p.m. -3:30 p.m. when they are in court


Anyone can make a payment as long as the ticket number or court case number is placed with the payment. You can also set a court date during the time the office is open. Once this is done, your warrant will be withdrawn.  All transactions must be done at 510 N. Main Room 103, Wichita, Kansas
