Please continue to allow wind and solar energy projects in Sedgwick County and do not hinder any proposals through burdensome zoning regulations. The current conditional use approval process which includes public hearings seems appropriate to me. A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to visit a wind farm in Elk county. When standing underneath the wind turbines, the sound of the blades was tolerable. The resident family told me they are not adversely impacted by the turbines and count on the financial benefits. Please do not exclude Sedgwick county residents from the benefits of solar and wind energy.
