The entire process has been rushed, interestingly the census data included race, age, and other factors, but the major factor in the proposed maps seem to be party affiliation. How are minority groups being represented. How are independent voters being included? BUT I would be remiss if I did not state this fact: the voting power of the African American and other minorities should not be diluted. It is ridiculous to think that by spreading the vote in several districts would strengthen the voting power. Community of interests has to be taken into account---do not dilute the the strongest voting block of the African American vote which is found in District 4.
