Flooding in typical locations is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Wichita, Derby, Andover, Haysville, Park City, Valley Center, Bel Aire, Mulvane, Goddard, Rose Hill, Maize, Clearwater, Colwich, Downtown Wichita, Kechi, Eastborough, South Wichita, Mcconnell Air Force Base, East Wichita and Eisenhower National Airport. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
